State Strategies to Increase COVID-19 Vaccination Rates in Children Blog Post
Dr. Shelley Fiscus and Rebecca Cooper have published a new blog post on the National Academy for State Health Policy’s website titled “State Strategies to Increase COVID-19 Vaccination Rates in Children.” This blog highlights creative approaches from states with the highest fully vaccinated COVID-19 rates among children ages five through 11. It includes ideas that other states may consider adopting when encouraging parents to get their kids vaccinated against COVID-19 and other vaccine-preventable diseases. These strategies may extend to immunization activities for six-month to four-year-olds once COVID-19 vaccines receive emergency use authorization for this age group from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
