View an advertising campaign created to share information about COVID-19 through trusted messengers. The campaign resulted from a partnership between Healthy Lincoln Nebraska and two local barbershops. Barbershops are gathering places for Black and African American communities in Lincoln. Barbers and stylists gained information about COVID-19 and vaccines during an orientation by Healthy Lincoln’s president, a physician and public health expert, and a public health educator on COVID-19 and vaccines. The barbers shared a recording of the orientation, campaign flyers, and mailouts with customers and wore “More Than a Shop” by wearing t-shirts with their barbershop logo and the Healthy Lincoln Nebraska logo.
