Georgia Rural Health Innovation Center/Houston County Board of Health: Final Needs Assessment

View a comprehensive Final Needs Assessment Report created by the Georgia Health Innovation Center at Mercer University School of Medicine. The report assesses the drivers of COVID-19 and flu hesitancy among African American residents in Hancock County, Georgia. The work stemmed from a CDC REACH grant managed by the North Central Health District of the Georgia Department of Public Health for the Houston County Board of Health. Using audience testing to better understand how African American residents perceived and reacted to COVID-19 and flu vaccine messaging, the team used initial findings to tailor future messaging. A summary of findings is included on page 39, and overall recommendations are located on pages 40-41.
