On September 18, AIM hosted the Annual Influenza Update Webinar. Attendees explored different strategies to prepare for the upcoming influenza season and heard from panelists:
- Jack McClure, AIM public health consultant, who provided the latest trends related to the influenza virus, updates related to this year’s vaccine and ACIP recommendations, and effective communication strategies.
- Dr. Carolyn Bridges, director of adult immunization from Immunize.Org and the National Adult and Influenza Immunization Summit (NAIIS), who gave an update on the work of the NAIIS and outcomes of this year’s summit.
- Dr. Jamilia Sherls, director of the office of immunization at the Washington State Department of Health, who shared programmatic best practices and plans for the upcoming influenza vaccine season.
