Seeking a new approach to reduce exemption and out-of-compliance rates from school requirements, Washington began returning kindergarten immunization data to school administrators and nurses in the form of an annual report card. The report cards include three years of immunization rates (complete, exemptions, conditional, and out of compliance) and completion rates for key vaccines. They also include the school’s rank in the state for these measures, and whether the kindergarten meets the HP2020 goal for the specific vaccines.
