Beginning in the 2018-2019 school year, students in Utah not vaccinated will be admitted to school only on a conditional enrollment status for 21 calendar days after the student and his or her parents have been put on notice. After the 21 days, if the vaccinations are not done or a valid exemption is not presented, the student could be suspended. Parents seeking an exemption for personal, medical or religious reasons will have to complete an online education module detailing the effects of non-vaccination as well as the side effects of immunization.
