Champions for Total Health: The Pandemic’s Toll on Mental Health Webinar
Please join AIM’s iREACH program and the National Minority Quality Forum Center for Sustainable Health Care Quality and Equity for a discussion on “Champions for Total Health: The Pandemic’s Toll on Mental Health.” The webinar will be held on Friday, May 20, at 12 pm ET and will focus on flu and COVID-19 vaccination rate inequities in the African American community. This is the third webinar in a series that includes accompanying communication tools developed to address common health challenges among people of color while emphasizing the critical role that vaccines play in alleviating these challenges. Achieving health and vaccine equity requires us to learn the lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic. Public health professionals must examine the health priorities of historically excluded communities, the threat posed by vaccine-preventable diseases, local social determinants of health, systemic racism, and strategies that have worked. The resources developed for, and with input from, patients will help clinicians and community leaders sustainably promote overall health.
