The Association of Immunization Managers (AIM) and its members are dedicated to establishing a nation free of vaccine-preventable disease. AIM members are the leaders of state, local, and territorial immunization programs—directing the public health efforts designed to keep children and adults vaccinated and protected against disease. Learn about AIM’s success in supporting members’ great work in our annual reports. Annual reports track our progress and share highlights from the year. 2023 Annual Report

Read AIM’s 2023 Annual Report, which highlights the great work that AIM and AIM members achieved last year. Rising to the challenge and leading through adversity is nothing new for AIM members, who over the past year have implemented a new federal Bridge Access Program for COVID vaccine, rolled out new RSV protections for seniors, pregnant people, and infants, and responded to multiple infectious disease outbreaks… while navigating complex state legislative sessions. Among its 2023 accomplishments, AIM created and facilitated a new Vaccine Access Cooperative, increased vaccine confidence resources for members, offered multiple tracks of professional and leadership development trainings, advocated for more funding for immunization programs, and much more.

2019 Annual Report

AIM celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2019. Each year, AIM has evolved, becoming more strategic, diversifying funding, and growing its staff—all to fulfill our mission: supporting immunization program managers. AIM made strides in strengthening and building new partnerships to expand the reach of our collective voice, progress in refining our infrastructure by restructuring our staff, solidifying several operating policies, and more. The fact that we had fun along the way goes without saying. AIM will continue to find creative, responsive ways to support program managers in this new decade and beyond.

2016 Annual Report

In 2016, AIM began the Peer-to-Peer Shadowing program, which provided an opportunity for a program manager to visit another program to learn from the program’s activities, structure, management methods, successes, and challenges. This training program helped immunization program managers further develop their leadership skills. Also in 2016, regional training meetings to bring together small groups of program managers were introduced. These meetings helped address shared challenges and provide opportunities for problem-solving and peer-to-peer support. Another 2016 highlight was leadership curriculum development. The goal was a comprehensive, structured education program for program managers to learn from peers and lead their programs to success.

2015 Annual Report

In AIM’s first annual report, we are proud to share our accomplishments of the past year and our expectations for the future. In 2015, AIM hired four new staff members to support its growing mission. We increased revenue through educational grants, contracts, and increased dues. AIM launched an effective Corporate Alliance Program and an informational Virtual Exhibit Hall. We expanded our cooperative agreement and partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to include more outreach, training activities, and peer-to-peer learning. After a turnover of nearly 25% of its members, AIM provided welcoming support, orientation and mentoring to these new program managers. 2015 also saw AIM host its inaugural Leadership Development training conference.
