Accomplishments by State/Urban Area/Territory
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) provided $300 million to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Section 317 Immunization Program. The 64 federally funded state, territorial and large urban area immunization programs (50 states, District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, the Republic of Marshall Islands, Micronesia, the Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Chicago, Houston, New York City, Philadelphia and San Antonio) received almost $97 million for operations, infrastructure and demonstration projects and more than $168 million for the purchase of vaccine.
